About Love Leads California

THE MISSION

For too long, many Christians have stood outside the Sacramento Capitol, turned away from the building, criticizing or asking for something. This movement is about turning toward the Capitol, offering worship, prayer, and blessing without a political agenda. Love Leads California is a grassroots movement uniting churches to create a sanctuary of worship at the heart of our state government.

Our Mission is Simple:

Host the presence of God in an atmosphere of peace, love, and honor—offering elected officials, staff, and visitors a sanctuary of refuge from the pressures of government, and a place of prayerful reflection amidst decisions and governing.

About the Worship Tent

Each weekday, a different church will host worship at the Capitol. This is not a place for preaching, activism, or political discussion—it is a space for continuous worship and prayer, allowing those in government to encounter the presence of God.

Sign up your church to host the Worship Tent at the Sacramento Capitol for one day this year (choose a date M-F, 7 AM–7 PM, beginning late March 2025). We've streamlined the process and provide all the equipment on-site to make it easy for your congregation to show up and host the tent, filling it with God's love and presence through pure worship.

For Elected Officials & Staff:

This Worship Tent is for you! Step away from the pressures of government and take a moment to experience peace, worship, and prayer. There is no talking, preaching, campaigning, or public prayer allowed inside the tent—only music, singing, and silent prayers. You are welcome to quietly enter and exit at any time. (If you have questions or feedback, we’d love to hear from you.)
